In August 2024, FUNLAB celebrated the 5th anniversary.
During this time, the #5YEARSWITHFUNLAB story sharing event was held and received a lot of stories from fans.
We're grateful for honest experiences, inspirations and suggestions from these stories. And here they are.

My funlab story:)
 
I have always dreamt of having my own personal space to spend my best cosy gaming evenings. I still live with my parents so my room was not decorated how I wanted to be.
 
As I grew up, I started to earn some money, and one day, decided that it was time, and that I was going to start investing for my dream setup. I went to buy a desk, I got everything I needed, and thought that it was perfect.
But I could feel that something was missing... and that was a controller.
 
I am an avid cosy switch player, and never realised that I needed one, because I didn't have a desk nor a tv and always played it handheld. While getting my whole setup I got everything to play on my iPad, and realised that the joy-cons are horrible lol.
 
I went on a quest to find the perfect, coziest, most beautiful controller I could find to really match the vibe of the dream setup I have been building, and here it was. I found it on funlab.
 
This controller has been the center of my most precious night with friends, family and just myself. I spent hours playing with it, and I felt an infinite amount of emotions with it. It is my favourite controller ever, and I could never go back without it.
The rest is history now...:)
 
 
Ps: I would die for a snoopy or ghibli themed controller....... please?😇

My story with funlab A little over a year ago I bought my Nintendo Switch, I was super happy for it being my first console and being able to play with friends, unfortunately because of the games I played with them, my joycon was damaged so I had to take it to warranty several times, a friend did a review of the funlab controllers and they seemed like a great controller that I honestly decided to give it a try and I don't regret it. They are very good controllers. I am very grateful that they are a good quality-price product and it helps me to get very addicted to Mario Kart as well as playing, above all. mario party

Got these super pretty joycons and the first day I had them I played WarioWare Move It with my brothers and we were having a blast! Then the "drop your joycons" minigame came up and I was like "NOOoOOOoo these are brand new!" Oh also I would most want to see a Pro Controller based on Pikmin as thats a favorite of mine

Anyways I was planning to get this controlers someday or... Take this give away a shot and hopefully Funlab could make a handheld mount with your controller like fixture did, im more of a handheld person myself and used to controllers Happy 5th anniversary

I had discovered Funlab through the ULT scarlet & violet discord server, thought it looked interesting and had joined Not expecting much from giveaways, I was presently surprised to find out I had won not one, but two controllers, for FREE they have been helping me due to my joycons not working the best after I did a bad job at putting a new shell I had bought Have been using them ever since (mainly the paw one)Now I would LOVE a Kirby design for a controller (forgot to add that)

Discovered FUNLAB through a TikToker that I enjoy the LoZ content of when she was sponsored by them. Since then I saved up to get one of their controllers (especially since my pro controller was starting to have drift issues) and decided on the Zonai one since I fell in love with Tears of the Kingdom the second it came out. This controller has genuinely changed the experience of LoZ for me. The vibrations during the blood moon cutscene and fights are one big example of how immersive this controller makes the game feel. My next FUNLAB purchase is 100% going to be the joycons. In the future I’d love to see maybe something Kirby themed or Pikmin themed. Happy Anniversary FUNLAB

My Funlab Story: It was earlier this year when I was laying in bed and calibrating my pro controller and realized that after 7 years of getting beat up, it was beginning to lose sensitivity. I didn’t mind it but my girlfriend sure did! She hated that I wasn’t able to enjoy some games anymore because my only controller was beginning to malfunction. One day she just went, “the Pokémon server has giveaways for this controller… you think it would work well?” I checked it out and joined the giveaway (I did not win) but it got me curious and I looked up the controllers more. I liked the specs on them and decided to take a chance. It was just a little after my birthday and I decided, what the heck, let’s give ourselves something nice! That was the Scarlet&Violet Firefly controller. I’ve been bringing it with me everywhere, showing it off and using it each chance I get. Since then, I got my girlfriend the Ghost controller (she loves it) and we managed to get a Mystic before it was phased out! We recently got an Astronaut controller to complete the 4-player collection for friends! Since we also host gaming meetups, we lend the controllers out for people to use and enjoy as well! Some have even gotten their own after using ours!! In a way, Funlab helped us rebuild our community~! I’m still contemplating on getting a Luminous Oh, and I definitely can’t wait for the chance to customize a controller or to maybe one day contribute to a design! Me and my friends are artists who would love nothing more than to do just that Happy 5 years, Funlab! Cheers to more years to come!!!

I had been using tacky controllers from Game and cex which had stick drift problems and sticky keys when being pressed :(. However, I gotan advert for Funlab on Amazon and I had to check them out. I fell in LOVE with the white spirally controller (I cannot remember what its called) but it has been so good to me. I have used to to beat Persona 4, Persona 5. I have beaten Hades 6 times now (10% win rate ) but everytime the controller is responsive and I feel like I have full control over Zagreus. Ill never go back!! I cant wait to replay portal with it c: Id love to get a controller compatible with PS4 or PS3 because that would be a game changer. Congratulations on 5 years!! Heres to another 10

I discovered Fun Lab in Instagram while I was browsing a Snorlax-themed Nintendo Switch Wireless Controller as a gift for a friend. Unfortunately it has been only available a few years back before I had known Fun Lab. For a few months now, I have this glow buddy and I have gifted this instead and my friend really appreciated it since he's a fan of The Legend of Zelda series as well. Happy Anniversary! my funlab story: originally, I saw a post about funlab in the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet server. I decided to check it out and I bought a controller for my sister. I got it a while ago and I am planning to give it to her for her birthday. I am also currently thinking of ordering another for myself and my dad.

I first arrived from the Scarlet and Violet FunLab controller giveaway collab. I really loved how the controllers looked so I picked one up and was absolutely baffled by how beautiful the LEDs are in person compared to the pictures (the pictures don't do it justice). I remembered when I showed my brother and cousin they both imminently wanted one (and soon enough they did end up grabbing one). Now I own four of their products and don't plan on picking up any other controller that isn't from FunLab. I usually end up lurking in servers I'm in, either because the chats are either overwhelmingly active or completely inactive. I found this server to have a balance of activity that didn't require me to monitor every second to keep up with what everyone was talking about, and I'm really happy I did end up inserting myself into this server as I've met some really cool people who all share a similar interest that I otherwise would've missed if I just lurked around for controller giveaways.

I just want to say that I love funlab's controllers! They look so beautiful and are honestly such a unique experience. I was gifted my controllers in a giveaway, which I am incredibly thankful for. I've been looking at Funlab's controllers for a while. I found Funlab through my pokemon server and I've been here ever since. I love the kind and welcoming community! In the future however I would love to see a slightly thinner controller shape. While my current joypad controllers are actually super stunning I've found it slightly difficult to play shooter games such as splatoon or fortnite with them. However I love to play more laid back games with them. This definitely wouldn't be an issue if I wasn't a handheld player, but I would love to see this added functionality! Thank you Funlab and Happy Birthday!

It has happened, I have won a controller. I won it in April in a smash bros giveaway, but was only able to get it now due to political reasons. Thank you Funlab for finding a way to deliver this gift to me. I would not be able to afford any other controller, so I'm eternally grateful to you. The controller itself looks beautiful and it is way more comfortable than my old broken joycons. I especially love the joysticks and shoulder buttons on it, they feel so good to use. One thing I feel like you could do is make it possible to display 2 different colours at once, that'd be super cool This controller will hold a special place in my heart as the first giveaway prize I ever won in my life Happy Birthday Funlab!

They’re sincerely one of my favorite controller brands, I’ve been using the Luminpad literally every single day since I got it. Sooo comfy. I’m always looking forward to whatever new Zelda designs they come out with, but I’ve actually had my eye on the pink paw print controller for a while too 💕🐾 you can never have too many 🤭
 
I say this all the time but scrolling to find this screenshot makes me want to get into TOTK again 👀 I had to give myself a break from Skyward Sword but I’m always having Zelda withdrawals lol

Happy Birthday to @funlab_official! They turn 5 this year and make some incredible controllers and accessories for the Nintendo Switch. The picture doesn't do it justice, but I got this amazing piece of craftsmanship and design from them last year. The green coloring is actually the controller lighting up! Really excited to see what's in store from them in the next year, especially with the Switch 2 around the corner. I'd love for them to get official licenses from Nintendo and maybe start incorporating characters on their products, especially Kirby and Link.
