In the comments, the leaker revealed that Gen V and Gen VI Pokémon will receive Mega Evolutions, specifically mentioning that Zygarde (An Legendary Pokémon of Gen VI) is rumored to be among the newly added Mega Evolutions.
The Mega Evolution mechanic was a long-standing signature feature of the series, but developers removed it (alongside the Z-Move system) in later titles.
