An insider from the Famiboards forum has revealed that renowned musician Pharrell Williams and his company may be responsible for producing the music for the promotional trailer of the Switch 2.
Additionally, singer Sabrina Carpenter is reportedly involved in the project as well. The source of this information has a track record of accurately predicting related details in the past.
The rumor quickly sparked heated discussions on Reddit. One user commented, “Honestly? If this is true, it makes sense. As mentioned in the top comment, Sabrina has worked with Nintendo before. Also, Nintendo used Imagine Dragons’ song ‘Believer’ in one of the promotional trailers for the original Switch, so I think this could be likely.” Another user added, “She also clearly mentioned Nintendo and Switch in her song ‘Espresso.’”
These points suggest that Nintendo seems to favor collaborating with well-known musicians or using licensed music to enhance their product’s promotional efforts.

Months ago, there were also reports indicating that Nintendo had already begun filming promotional videos for the Switch 2. According to Nintendo’s usual pattern, after the official announcement of the Switch 2, multiple different versions of commercial trailers are expected to be released across networks and TV channels to build anticipation for the new console.
A domestic insider, known as "荷姆荷姆嗼", who had accurately predicted the lineup for the June Nintendo Direct, recently shared a series of updates related to the new Switch 2 on Sina Weibo.
Starting on December 21, he posted a series of tweets that quickly generated online discussion. Some international fans speculated that these posts were related to the Fibonacci sequence and further theorized that the numbers might be a countdown pointing to January 8, 2025. Some users believe this date could be a hint for the Switch 2’s reveal.
Earlier this year, "荷姆荷姆嗼" suggested that the Switch 2 might be announced in January 2025 and officially released in March. Notably, his other account mentioned that Foxconn’s November financial report showed that a batch of completed Switch 2 consoles had already been delivered to Nintendo, indicating that Nintendo might have started stockpiling. If this is true, it would mark a departure from Nintendo’s usual strategy of announcing a product first and then ramping up production afterward, possibly implying a very short gap between the announcement and the release of the Switch 2.
