Game Freak’s Pokémon Legends: Z-A nears completion, featuring Mega Evolution, new battles, and Lumiose City. Coming Fall 2025 on Nintendo Switch.

Game Freak has officially announced that Pokémon Legends: Z-A is now in the final stages of development. During the recent "Famitsu/Dengeki Game Awards 2024" ceremony, Pokémon Legends: Z-A won the Most Anticipated Game award for 2025. The game’s director, Haruka Tochigi, confirmed this milestone at the event and expressed gratitude to fans for their support.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A will take players back to Lumiose City, the heart of the Kalos region, to explore the vibrant metropolis and its surrounding areas. Departing from previous entries, the game will introduce new battle mechanics while also confirming the return of the Mega Evolution system.

Haruka Tochigi joined Game Freak in 2013 and is helming a significant project for the first time after contributing to multiple key roles in earlier titles. Pokémon Legends: Z-A is slated for release on the Nintendo Switch in Fall 2025, promising an unprecedented adventure for trainers.
